Job Description
Innovation plays a major role in African economies which are structurally poorly equipped in infrastructure. Digitization is a salvation for the African banking sector at a point where major international players are increasingly showing interest. In this context, we are mandated to carry out a series of strategic studies of the banking innovation sector covering several African regions.
We are recruiting: 1 long-term consultant (may lead to a full-time position)
Activities
In support to our local team, the consultant will be responsible of providing the following:
- Overview of innovative payments and other banking digital innovations
- Market analysis: offer, demand, financing methods, covered and uncovered needs, etc.
- Market benchmark: players, penetration level of FinTech, products and services, etc.
- Analysis of advantages and limits to the adoption of FinTech’s product offering
- Identification of challenges and banks’ response to this new competition
- Definition of new use cases
- Production of a panorama identifying major successes in payment solutions and other FinTech
- Publication of the studies on various platforms and presentation of results
Requirements
- 2/3 years of experience preferred
- Minimum Master’s level in banking, finance, or technology
- Successful experience in a consulting or audit firm would be highly appreciated
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational capacity
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Knowledge of PowerPoint
- Bilingual English/French
Desirable skill
- Familiar with Illustrator and Photoshop
